We are delighted that you're considering Al Fanar School for your child’s educational journey. Our admissions process is designed to be welcoming, transparent, and child-centred — ensuring every applicant feels seen, supported, and valued.
Who Can Apply?
We welcome children from Nursery (age 2-3), FS1 (age 3) through to Year 6 (age 11). As a British curriculum primary school in Dubai, we admit all children of all nationalities, learning profiles, and backgrounds. We are an inclusive school and proudly prioritise Emirati families, siblings of current students, and children of staff as part of our commitment to diversity and community connection.
How to Apply

Submit an Online Application
Complete our application form through the school website. A non-refundable application fee of AED 500 applies. -
Share the Required Documents
You’ll be asked to provide key documents, such as passport copies, Emirates IDs, school reports, and any additional learning support reports if applicable. Full details are listed on the application form. -
Complete a Short Pre-Application Form
This helps us get to know your child’s learning style, interests, and needs.
Inclusive by Design
We welcome children with additional learning needs and follow all KHDA and UAE inclusion guidelines. If your child requires support, we’ll work closely with you to ensure the right approach is in place.

Your journey begins by getting in touch with us. This may be through a phone call, email, or in person. Once we receive your enquiry, we will share key information about the school, including our curriculum, fees, and approach. You will also receive an enquiry number for reference. From here, we invite you to take the next step and book a tour.
Application
To move forward, families are asked to pay an AED 500 application fee and fill an application form. This allows us to formally begin reviewing your child’s application and ensures a fair and organised process for all families. The fee is refundable if you choose not to proceed after the tour or if we are unable to offer a place. It can also be transferred to the next academic year if needed. Once both the fee and the form are completed, your child officially moves into our admissions process.
Tour
Our school tours give you the opportunity to experience Al Fanar in action. You will explore our learning environments, understand our approach, and ask any questions you may have. Tours are an important part of the process, helping families decide if our school is the right fit. This is the first step in moving forward with your admission.
Stay & Play
When spaces become available, children are invited to a Stay & Play session. This is a relaxed, play- based experience where we get to know your child in a natural setting. There are no formal tests— this is simply an opportunity to understand how your child engages, interacts, and feels within our environment.
Offer
If a place becomes available and we are able to proceed, you will receive an official offer. To secure the place, a deposit is required within a set timeframe. At this stage, we begin preparing for your child’s transition into Al Fanar, and we look forward to welcoming your family into our community.
Admissions Update
Admissions for 2025–2026 are now full.
Admissions for 2026–2027 are also full, with limited availability only in Years 5 and 6.
